Chill a coupe or Nick and Nora. In a mixing glass add all ingredients sans garnish. Stir down until ice cold. Add to your glass, garnish and enjoy. For that saline, 20 g salt + 80 mL water will get you there.

The obvious route for making this your own is to change the vermouth. Dolin Rouge, for example, is drier to my palate. You can get slightly sweeter and nutter with Amontillado. As always, Manzanilla and it's sea spray is great here.
